The Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre Sinfonietta (KLPac Sinfonietta) is a symphony orchestra located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It presents performances at the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (KLPac) which fosters creative excellence and develops and nurtures performing arts culture in Malaysia. When the very idea of a performing arts centre was initially put forward by Dato’ Faridah Merican and Joe Hasham to YTL Corporation Managing Director Tan Sri Dato’ Francis Yeoh more than three years ago, a music conservatory was an integral part of the proposal. Eventually, cost considerations meant that a music conservatory had to be shelved, at least for the time being. (Source: Wikipedia)
